I've been wondering for some time how concerned the games manufacturers are about the ever increasing accessibility/affordability of 3D printing hardware, particularly when coupled with 3D scanning systems.

My brother in-law was oddly enough talking about these 3d printers the other day, i didn't realise just how good the quality was!

Interesting couple of years approaching in the miniature business if they become cheap enough for home use, will we see prices decrease to invite sales or increase as people pirate stuff?
Wow, I'm finally up-to-date with my Maelstrom orders, and have nothing outstanding. That's the first time in quite a while.
Based all my Jomsvikings tonight, ready for priming. Might get to finally dig the paintbrushes out again this week.
Bit of additional basing required to completely mask that metal stands on the Jomsvikings. Job done.
Hobby tally for this weekend is:
  • Ariadna starter crew finsished
  • Jomsviking warlord painted
  • Church building painted and "thatched"
  • Two sprues of willow fencing painted
Gonna make a start on some painting i think today, not sure which though. Desicions decisions.
Has anyone tried the new GW basing paints?
Wanted to do my whole army with a snowy theme and they do a basing paint of it now.
It's a dirty white paint with sand in. That all. I have only dabbed bits on, over a based model, to act as an undercoat for snow effects. I will try them properly on my Striders.

Lets us know how it turns out please Gaz, heard it is quick and easy to use, but want to know if the finished article looks good.
Made a start on painting my Bushido crew, in preparation for taking them down to Total Wargamer next weekend.
