All credit to Gifts for Geeks, they're going to dig out some replacement archers for me. Really helpful on the phone.

How many more archers are they sending you? Is it just the one, or a whole new sprue?

Not sure Luke, but the chap seemed to imply a few.

I assembled them all yesterday, up until midnight, but my fingers are killing me! They all look awsome.

I hate the PP Plastic it is really hard to clean. It also looks a lot like resin, which then adds even more issues to clean up. It took me a good deal of research to be confident enough to call it plastic. The plastic stuff is ok, but Luke get your Dad to deal with any resin components you might end up getting, as that stuff is harmful to your health.
I have to admit, I'm not too keen on the "plastic", either. It's too hard and, you're right, is hard to keep clean.
A question for any expirianced WARMACHINE player: what is the difference between a warcaster and it's epic warcaster version, and can I use it in a normal 20-30pt battle?

Just wondering as I'm thinking of buying a new warcaster for my Menites. Was gonna get Hierarch Severius (the epic version of Grand Scrutator Severius), but I was confused as I wondered: Why would anyone buy Grand Scrutator Severius, if you can get Hierarch Severius for free (points), with one extra warjack point?

Hope I havn't confused you, I sure have confused myself!
Luke there isn't a difference as such. They are the same person, but the Warmachine / Hordes time line has moved on between release and now, and the Epic version is not a more powerful Warcaster, but rather the same Warcaster with different abilities.

For instance Cryx Warcaster Iron Lord Asphyxius, killed a Lich Lord and got promoted by Toruk to a Lich Lord. The War Witch Deneghra was killed by her twin the Cygnarite Hayley and has been resurected as an Undead and is now know as the Wrath Witch Deneghra.

As for different abilities / Warjack points etc, the Warcaster from what I understand completley changes how the same models work. Whilst the E. Severius may seem more powerful on paper, he is probably a little weaker on the field, or his feet is not quite as powerful, hence the extra Jack point. From all the talk I have heard about Warmahordes, PP have balanced the game fairly well, so a weaker caster will probably be able to field a little more support. I guess its all down to personal preference on the battle field. You may not win at all with one caster, but switch out to one that works better for your play style and the rewards will be reaped.
In mk 1 warmachine epic warcasters could only be used in 750pts, and as gareth said they were increasing their power or learning new abilities storyline wise. In mk 2 they cut down on the epic warcasters abilities to bring them inline with ordinary warcasters, so there's no point limit to what game they can be played but they do have different spells and abilities compared to their normal selves (or p casters as we call them psev for the prime and esev for his epic version) making them play differently

Don't think that the extra warjack point makes epic sev better than prime sev, cause miks proven us a few times not to underestimate the old man Big Grin

Well you learn something everyday. That's news to me. Also yesterday's lesson was quit whilst your ahead. Painting issue a little before midnight left me ruining one of Colettes eyes. Half twelve this morning, I had kind of salvaged it, but it doesn't quite look right. But trying to paint something about 1mm think in a recess with no depth perception is bloody hard.
Cheers guys, really helped me with that. I reckon I'm gonna get the epic warcaster Hierarch Severius as I like the look of his abilities, and he has one extra warjack point, so I could have another Crusader or Defender for free.
Watched the first half of the Fellowship of the Ring (for the 100th time) last night. Loved it as always, but I can't wait for them to come out on Blu-Ray disk.

Yeah, what Luke said! Looking forward to the release of the extended editions on Blu-ray.

Got a mighty big (well, in my eyes) Orcs and Goblins army of around 2400 - 2500pts. I tell you what, though, it seems to be slowly taking over my desk...

I've got a lot of basing and spraying to do, although I reckon that I'm gonna take Grimgor Ironhide off his base, as I want to give him a nice old impressive one, you know, have him mounted on a rock, or proudly standing atop a mountain of Dwarven bodies, or on a pile of Elf skulls. Not sure, yet, but, either way, I'm gonna have to rip 'im off of his old base, and hack off the bottom. Might chop off the rock that he's standing on and replace it with something more suited to my battle style...

Anyway, the army dun 'alf look like a big 'un (if that makes sense to anyone) and is prepped for battle!
