Now have a new recruit for my Menoth, the kitty cat! An utter giant in the world of Warmachine. Great name, too: Gimli.
Just built a wild west saloon. Need inspiration for how to paint up the signage though.
So i finally have my painting area sorted out and ready, got my various tools ready and can finally sort out who to start painting this weekend, Iron fang pikemen are looking like the most likely subjects, with warcasters coming after
Started making my first building of hopefully many. My fingers are covered in glue and I've messed up a dozen times but I'm enjoying it Big Grin The end result won't be fantastic but hell, it'll still be terrain!
So this morning went to collection office to pick up my parcel from wargames, and I must say the protectorate altar of flame is very impressive and I can't wait to see it being fought over on the table. Will try to put some photos up later
I had 20 Diamond coated 1mm drill bits delivered today, so I can use the Dremmel to cut sime pin holes into the Lava base. 2 Bits later I am about 2mm in.

Ouch, I can see these bases costing you more than the actual minis, hope you find an easier solution soon cause they were really impressive bases

Yeah, they do sound as if they're already eating quite a large hole in your wallet. Reckon if you could possibly find some slightly stronger/cheaper bits, then you could really have some works of art Big Grin.
Bits were £7 delivered for the 20. Thank god for ebay and our Chineese commy friends.

I think I was applying to much presure trying to drill to fast. Otherwise its hard to tell if your drilling or just holding the tip, slightly above where you intend to drill. Note with Diamond tipped bits you need to keep the area wet (preferably drill with the bit in water.) I tried doing it our of water and within 5 seconds the glass has started to glow and broken away. Whilst its cool, to look at, its certainly not cool to play with, as it could be reaching temperature in excess of 1000°c
Just got some awsome new dice from, guess where, The Dice Shop. I got some bronze Olympic ones that look like they could be fit for a Menitte King. Dad got some cool green ones for his green Cygnar.
