Got a nice flat coat of Enchanted Blue on my Charger Light Warjack last night, followed by an Asurmen Blue wash. Just need to apply some layering/shading/drybrushing with a lighter colour to the armor now. Possibly a little Ice Blue added to the Enchanted Blue.
Haven't quite decided whether to highlight the edges of the armor plates (in a Space Marine stylee) or try some proper lightsource surface shading.
Need to pop into Hobbycraft in Shirley on my way home today, as we've apparently exhausted our supply of Chaos Black spraypaint.
I was sure we had a spare can kicking around. It's probably hiding with my dremel.

Just heard from Firestorm - looks like the PP supply issue has now struck them too, buy they're expecting restocks this week.

As I sit here, painting arc of sight points on the 4 Bane Thralls I finished, and clean and assemble my Ripjaws, it dawns on me that I need to ACTUALLY start on my Ballad fleet. Considering it was my idea, it's bad sport to play me free month first one in. Looks like my Sunday is booked up for painting some ships then.
Weeks goal list.
1) Get my monthly Ballad target complete.
2) Paint 4 more Bane Thralls
3) Assemble Deathjack
4) Given time work on some scenery
My copy of NQ #37 has finally arrived so between that and God Of War HD I haven't picked up a single file yet. Really need to get a move on as I need to pin Lady J to her base too.
Im not sure if I should get an ork stompa or some more soldiers. Does anybody know the point value for the stompa? And what weapons does it have?
Stompa is 600 pts mate, lot of points for one model. You would be gutted if it got killed in first couple of turns be concentrated lascannon fire!
Would probably get some deff dreads or kill kans, or some other elite choices first and look to get one after you built up 2000 points or so.

Ive made some deff dreads and kill kans from spare bits
I think I will get a stompa and use the spare bits to make even more deff dreads. Also if my cygnar models ever turn up I might proxy them for deff dreads
Slapped some more paint onto a few of my Cygnar last night, just concentrating on the blue armor and gun metal bits for now, so not much in the way of detail. Quite liking the Enchanted Blue finish.
So the wings/back of my Watcher decided not to stay on so may have to look at pinning it on. Means plenty of blu-tac'd models tonight.
