Wayland are shipping some of my order. After over two weeks and no contact, I get a refund, no details attached and then a separate email listing my full order, with certain units noted as refunded, as shipped. That's the last order I am placing with them, except for battlefoam, and I would be tempted to drive to Southend for that too.
Simon Pye got back to me just, and this is the message.

emphatically yes! Cost would depend on what someone wanted painting, but I'm definitely up for commissions (oil paintings or comics or warhammer art or whatever). If they'd like to buy a picture I've done already then let me know, it might be it was for someone else anyway and I don't own it any more but I can always paint another!
cheers Gaz, much appreciated. What's the URL for the forum? Will check it out. Could come along gaming one night if you go to a club?

Sent him the www.redwarsoc.com URL, and a bit of a run down on the games.

Tom, Pye was one of the guys I used to play Necromunda with, way back when it first came out (that would be the rule books you and your Dad got given, my one was the updated Rulebook released several years later,)

Cheers Gareth.

I might be interested in an oil of our old mini. I see that he's familiar with the subject.

I can have a chat with him via his mail addy, or if he pops into the club.
Simon is his email on his blog (I assume so, but I don't know,) as I have been contacting him via Facebook. If it's not, I will get it for you. Not sure if it is still the case, but last I heard he was employed by 2010ad as an artist, but I never asked if that was as staff, or through comission. Oh and his real name is Simon too.
Managed to tear myself away from playing multiplayer space marine long enough to do a couple of ruins for tuesday night. Gonna try and do a couple of different bits a week to go on the shelf.
My final Cygnar bits arrived from Firestorm over the weekend. So that means I can order some more now, yeah...?
Right, hobby target for this week (target 19th September) is to fully paint 5 of my Cutlass Pirate girls - Captain Alexis and 4 of her crew. I should really try and target more, but they're quite individual characters rather than a uniformed squad, so I'm keeping expectations low to avoid disappointment Smile
more cricle goodness arrived all 3 casters are now assembled let the good times roll just waiting for 2 light and 2 heavy warbests to come and then im set
