The stub guns were just to use up the creds, so i could swap them for 3 laspistols, as for the lack of lasguns i noticed that in the new rules goliath gangers cant pick them at the start and i only had 1 model with one anyway. Same for the juves i would have preferred to start with a couple but a lack of appropriate models let me down.
Didn't realise Goliaths couldn't start with Lasgun's, ouch. You could always use gangers as Juves if you wanted, no one at the club minds proxies. Same with weapon load outs. As long as you make it clear which model is which, it is fine. Smile

Yeah I would proxy some June's and ditch the stub guns. I quite like the shotguns, very versatile, so other than that it looks good. Las pistols are great.
well me and new nick played each other tonight its was Goliath vs Goliath, so we weren't looking forward to any skill rolls (boy how wrong i was)

managed to get 3 games in, we count 1 game as last month and 2 games for this month (so we're not breaking the rules, just bending them slightly because we played fast).

first game scavengers went to nick, and he managed to kill harry, who i brought back to life with my income. my heavies did nothing this game, the only thing they managed was when Reggie rolled a 6 to hit with his grenade launcher, did 5 wounds, but could only down his target, and then ran out of ammo before being gunned down by a shotgun. my lone juve spent the entire game on the board edge and managed to fight of the monsters with his knife twice! but my shooting was terrible and I couldn't even win the combat till my leader charged in at the end of my last turn and knock out one of nicks gangers. nick managed to get medic for one of his advances, i got inventor for bobby with a double 6 for my only advance from the first game. my 2 settlements gave me a free juve, who i armed with a stub gun (only had 10 credits left from income).

second game was gang fight, for this one we swapped sides, the luck changed sides to, as suddenly i was hitting and downing nicks gang, when i had took 3 of his ganger out of action with several more down, nick bottle out and i managed to steal his drinking hole, he rolled for a new piece of territory and got a second spore cave. my heavy stubber had again failed to do anything but my other heavy Reggie had taken a guy out of action with his grenade launcher and not run out of ammo.
end of this game saw me kill one of nicks ganger, but his medic saved him, everyone else got full recovery apart from one of nick's gangers who got shell shock.

my settlements gave me another juve and nicks 2 settlements gave him a juve as well. i sold the stub gun and brought my juves 2 laspistols to keep them going. rolled on rare trade chart and got a power sword and flak Armour, couldn't afford the power sword but got the flak Armour, which john my heavy now wears, brought a few swords as well for my gangers.

third game, another scavenger hunt, this time the monsters refused to play again all game (they feared little typhoon, and they should!), we changed the scenery round a bit and it made for a better game, this time i hid john my heavy stubber out of sight from nicks heavy stubber, and placed Reggie and some gangers behind heavy cover so attract his heavies fire, i placed the juves with Rogg to get the heavy stubber's attention first turn, then placed my leader with my combat ganger ready to move into the middle of the broad to take 3 of the loot counters there (again played with 4 loot counters, 4th one was on the walkway to the middle left from my view)

nick went first, his stubber blasted my juves but only got 1 hit, but this was enough to take little typhoon out of action, though i passed my nerve tests. his juves and most of his ganger went for middle, sticking to the walkways, while his newest juve lead 2 gangers onto the catwalks to get the 4th loot counter. my turn, i spread the juves out to attract his fire and moved Rogg towards a loot counter, my leader and his following gangers moved into cover to cover a walkway nick would have to take to get to the loot counters in the middle. john finally proved his worth and started blasting at his juve and gangers heading for the middle of the board, pinning his leader and downing a juve, Reggie also had some luck and hit one of nick shot gunners with his krak grenades, doing 5 wounds taking the guy out of action. my auto gunners fired but couldn't hit anything.

In nicks turn he moved forward and use his remaining shot gunner to secure a loot counter, the juve on the catwalks got to a loot counter, and the other ganger moved into range, the juves and ganger moving for the middle pinned harry and my leader, the gangers on the catwalk managed to down Joe hurricane, and his heavy managed to wound Reggie (who had 2 wounds) but ran out of ammo doing so.

my turn, Rogg grabbed a loot counter, rocking wrecker ran forwards into cover to distract more bullet towards himself, and i passed my pinning checks. my gang returned fire, downing bot of nicks juves who were standing, the already downed juve went out of action, and several of his ganger were either pinned or had flesh wounds, but my leader and the gangers with him all ran out of ammo.

nicks last turn, his most forward ganger rushed the middle and grabbed the free loot counter, his shot gunner and support gangers over watched to cover this ganger, and those who could moved into range, while any models down moved away into cover and out of sight. nicks few shots missed and it was my turn.

harry, Ronald and bobby all charged his most forward ganger, and nicks over watch shots all missed, john shot at this ganger backup, and took out the downed juve, pinned his leader and down his ganger. the auto gunners pinned the shot gunner and Reggie blasted one of the ganger on the catwalks, doing 5 more wound and taking that ganger out of actions via flesh wounds.

combat time, harry and bobby both had knifes and swords, while Ronald had a knife and chain sword, nicks ganger had a laspistol and knife, bobby went first, but messed up and got downed for his troubles, harry went next, but failed to wound with his single blow, Ronald got a single blow in, but it was enough to take out nicks ganger and give me the loot counter, making it 2 loot counters each.

we ran out of time, and seeing the state of nicks gang, we rolled off to see who would fail a bottle test first, and nick lost that roll.

got a lot of advances this game, neither of us got juves from our settlements, bobby got specialist and so was given an autogun and the grenade launcher (must have been a van scar in his last life, keep rolling double 6 so he can pick his skill table), the auto gunners got WS boosts and traded their auto guns for auto pistols and swords, brought an extra sword so i had enough for the auto pistol gangers, got a second heavy stubber for Reggie who also was brought a flak vest, rocking lost a finger on his left hand and Joe got blinded in his left eye. (for current gang list, check the link in my signature)

as for nicks gang he got a lots of advances as well, but i managed to capture one of his shot gunners who i sold back to him for 60 credits, including the equipment (i'm nice like that).

all in all a very good evening of 2 Goliath gangs beating the crap out of each other.

then your next few games should be against me, always managed 2 games a night at least. on average that another 150 gang rating added (unless a lot of people die)

I have to admire your optimism, you've never played me have you - I'm known to lull opponents to sleep with the pace of my game...
A long shot, but can anyone recall when I gained Inventor? Think I might be missing 1 or 2 rolls for that.

Never mind.

Looks like I'm missing an Inventor roll from the game with Vince and possibly the game before with Steve, but I have an inkling that I might have made the roll in the latter. I'll just make the one roll to reflect the game with Vince.
