Campaign
#1
So I've been thinking, theres a lot of BFG games going on lately, maybe it's worth us setting up a campaign, the purpose being so we can get ship refits and experience etc. Might add more character to the ships and crews etc.

I'd propose if we do it we just do it as a rolling campaign until we mutually agree our fleets have become too ridiculous (I played a campaign with my friends once and some of the ships had got so ridiculous they could take on entire fleets single-handedly!) and reset.

BFG Players:
  • jjakaalbinoboy/JJ - Imperial/Eldar
  • Kungfu Kleg/Keith - Tau
  • machineuk/Nick - Chaos
  • jaqenhgar/Chris - Imperial/Necrons?
  • jimbobabob/James - Imperial
  • actungpanzer/Jim - Chaos
  • GreyKnight/Graham - Chaos
  • Will - Imperial
Signed Up:
  • jjakaalbinoboy/JJ - Eldar
  • Kungfu Kleg/Keith - Tau
  • jaqenhgar/Chris - Necrons
  • jimbobabob/James - Imperial
  • GreyKnight/Graham - Chaos
  • Will - Imperial

Sounds great! Is there a minimum/maximum number of people/races?

Sounds great, would love to take part in this.

I won't be able to play any games for about a month or so though cos I'll be busy with the 40k league and Blood bowl, but after that am well up for a few BFG games!

I'm up for this, my Iron Warriors legion fleet is now assembled, warp engines online, main batteries locked and loaded, hyper expensive grand cruiser off eBay ready to leave space dock.

The paint tanker is late though, Perturabo will be pi$$ed...
40K - Chaos Space Marines BloodBowl - Dark Elves & Ogres
Battlefleet Gothic - Chaos Necromunda - Redemptionists

Iron within, Iron without!

I'm up for some campainy goodness. If I can get my fleet finished I may use dark eldar instead of my imperials.
Although it would be nice to have my Mars Battlecruser with almost every upgrade possible again :-)

OK people, some homework for you, can you all read the campaign rules from the rulebook so you're familiar with them. I'm planning to select a sub-sector from the back of the book (at random), I'll then randomly select a starting system for each player.

The rulebook says Orks/Eldar etc. don't get systems but for this I'm ignoring that rule, everyone gets a system.

I need everyone to point up there fleets, each player starts off with a 2,000pts fleet registry (or as many as you can make).

A campaign turn goes as follows:

1) Build-Up
Determine Initiative
Roll for incoming Orders,
select target system
Select Forces from Fleet Registry
Roll for Sub-Plots!

2) Fight Battle

3) Aftermath
Claim System
Adjust Renown
Promotions & Demotions
Ship Experience
Repairs & Withdrawals
Make Appeals
