i won 2-1 against Gaz but the only reason that happened was i took out all but one skink and all his other models with AG 1 can't pick up the ball so i just picked it up and ran but also i was very lucky, every time the ball was dropped it would bounce through all of Gaz's players and mine would pick it up. Very unfair game but certainly entertaining.Smile

Had my rematch against Steve's orcs last night, I managed to pull off a close 1-0 victory, with a bit of luck.

First half the dwarves received, and ran the ball over to the right of the pitch while some stalwart blockers held up the formidable Orc front line of two black orcs and a troll. Mid way through the half the runner kadilli made a dash for it, but the other dwarves couldn't keep up and he was taken down by the Orc thrower. The orcs took possession after a bit of fumbling and looked set to make a successful play, when their troll fluffed it (double skulls, no reroll). Outnumbered, the dwarves had one opprtunity and they took it, a blitzer sacking the ball carrier and the runner picking the ball up and running for a touchdown. The orcs didn't have time in the rest of the half to equalise, so just beat on a few of the stumpy ones for some fun.

Second half the orcs got the ball, and the dwarf frontline was smashed backwards. The blitzer the orcs sent down a flank was pushed off the pitch and a war of attrition started. The dwarves ended up with 8 players left on he pitch while the orcs had 9. The orcs forgot about the ball a bit and failed to move it forward, so the Krags hammers executed 'the vice' and moved into position around the Orc ball carrier. The troll was flattened by the combined efforts of three dwarves and spent about three turns flat on his back (steve kept failing his roll to get him to move!). The game ended with a good old scrap for the ball, which was left on he ground at the time the whistle blew.

Good game Steve, really close and I was lucky to pull out a win.

The orcs definitely had the best of the fisticuffs, as I had three players injured, two of which have to miss the next match, while the orcs only had some KO's.

My fan factor went back up to 7, and I got 50,000 in winnings, which combined with what I had saved meant I went and bought a death roller! Only had one skill up on a blocker who gained stand firm - no more pushing him around!

Now I've got to try and get my hands on a dwarf steam-roller somehow...

Chris, how about converting one. Had a look at some pics, and I think I have an idea.

If you pic up the back, and some of the platform from a Mantic Goblin Mincer a cotton wheel, some platic or balsa, to enhance the frame, and some spikes for the roller (cocktail sticks???) and whack a Dwarf on top, you'll have a sweet looking model.

Nice idea, thanks. I'll have a look and am definitely thinking about converting one - have seen one on eBay but expecting it to be a bit too pricey by the time it's sold.

If I remember I'll bring my goblin mincer (which kind of got broken, so don't laugh at the missing wheel,) so you can see what I mean by 'the back of it'
