Hi all, a friend / colleague of mine is recruiting for 2 IT Engineers / Helpdesk support staff for his IT support business in Redditch.
They are a small(ish) company of about 5 people, but have a large customer base (I'm one of them).

I'm no IT expert but elements of the roles include,
- Working with Windows Desktop, Servers/Active Directory based domain networks
- Working with networks and routers, VPNs, load balancing, QOS
- Working with VOIP systems, ideally an Asterisk based system
- Working with Linux servers and OpenVPN
- Previous experience of working on customer sites or in a face-face support environment
- Installing new equipment and server setups on-site, migrations etc
- Working with Exchange Server/Office 365
- WiFi systems
- Previous experience of working on customer sites or in a face-face support environment
- You will be supporting customers remotely through a mix of telephone and email support, logging tickets on the helpdesk system
- Resolving or escalating support calls from either home users or small local businesses – so it could be a real mix of various technical knowledge from the end user. Patience is key!
- Working alongside other Support Engineers, assisting and learning from them on a daily basis
