Or you could still have doubles, but only one game a week.

Week 1 - Team A vs Team B, Team C can play each other at 40k or try to find another game system match up.
Week 2 - Team B vs Team C, Team A are on their free week.
Week 3 - Team C vs Team A, Team B are free.
Week 4 - Team B vs Team A, Team C are free, optional from here on, but reverse games incase you have attack/defend rules or whatever.
etc.
Maybe week 4 onwards play singles games, counting towards things rather than doubles. Or you could have the free team involved in a singles match up each week with the result counting towards the overall score.
There are options for you still Tom. I would have joined in I'd inhad a force, and a clue how to play 40k.

to be honest guys this campaign is really weird as we have people of mixed ability playing each other like sarah and hayley only got to turn 2 and i don't think its very fair giving the win to sarah as it was only a 2 turn game. Same with me and dad we played but then both got anoyed as we only played 4 turns and if we had played a proper 6 it could have gone so differently and thats a really big problem. dan and george only just managed to finish their game.
