I'm going to be using Harlequins in my Eldar army for sure.
Yeah but you've seen my dice rolling Rob. When do i ever get even close to rolling average? Hence why i don't like random charges, i'd rather have a reliable fixed number. I'm already repeatedly screwed over with bad rolling on pretty much all of my shooting, and 60-70% of my combat, so i'm not a fan of having a chance to roll snake eyes on a charge, and to have my units shot to pieces before i even get to hit something. DE imo are supposed to be hitting first while they can because they die so easy. Losing 40% of the unit before you even reach the enemy isn't a great thought for me XD

And i didn't mean for them solely to be taken out just for DE, i meant for all races. Anyways i'm probably just going to stop talking about this stuff, rolling mah Chaos warband now so couldnt give a crap about overwatch now i'm in power armour, i can survive it. Plus higher S, T and similar WS means i should be more reliable at killing anyway.

Just got round to reading the IG FAQ and sad face -
Page 56 – Valkyrie Assault Carrier, Grav Chute Insertion.
The first sentence should be changed to:
If a Valkyrie or a Vendetta moved more than 6", passengers
may still disembark, but they must do so as follows.
Change the penultimate sentence to read: “If any of the
models cannot be deployed the unit is destroyed.”
Was wondering how long it would take them to sort that out....

Epic 40k-Space marines/Imperial Guard(2000 pts)

Isn't that pretty much what it said before though?

Nope, rules as written were something like that if you go up to combat speed you could deploy normally, without have to roll the scatter dice, as a zooming flyers Combat speed is 36".
Meaning you could go 36" across the board and deploy your guys anywhere in your flight path, without rolling for scatter.
They have changed the wording to put the risk back into Grav chute inserting, as you either have to go into hover mode to deploy normally or roll the scatter to deploy from a zooming flyer.

Oh, that was how I was playing them anyway as it said Deep Strike in the V1 FAQs. Least this gives you a reason to use Stormtroopers instead now as they can re-roll scatter dice.

Stormtroopers are too expensive for me, rather stick with my vets and gamble, that they will come down around where i want. 100 pt tactical gamble i like, can be game changing as they are scoring units. More than once my Grav chute Vets have made a tactical impact.

Keep with the vets mate, trip, melta, plasma, flamer for dual purpose plus having 30 infantry deep strike into your lines is going to cause problems, especially if they can get cover/be out of sight, now that overwatch is about, no longer can be swept in combat without going through an overwatch.

Yep, love my deep striking vets! If anything, i would like to get another Vet/Valkyrie squad in somehow. Lol.
Though the changes to Leman Russ (making them heavy) is making them appealing again, triple heavy flamer with punisher cannon could be interesting. Full speed ahead and open up everything.

But "full steam ahead" would be 6" a turn....
