This is my current list. It did quite well against JJ's Shaltari but it will need more field testing.
That's a weird list Will. I think that people will basically ignore the Moscow's and kill of you San Frans, at least that's what I would do...

Well practice game against Will went well. Akuma was awesome if a bit lucky, and the hydra's were again amazing. Will's corvettes did clear a lot of my frigates but I had enough spread out that some survived. Think I missed a Chimera though. Have come up with an alternative list that isn't reliant on frigates and so will hopefully counter massed corvettes that we might see with the Calibre (L) rule. Not sure about the big guy in this list but I'd like to try him and it gives me an excuse to buy one:

Luke - The Adamant is OK but for 200pts you have to go weapons free at least twice in a game to make it worthwhile otherwise it's a waste of points. Against a canny opponent that makes it not worth it so I would go with some turquoise / ambers / more topaz instead.
Continuing my list spam, I was looking at the Daemon and actually don't think it's worth taking to a tournament even with a buff to the burnthrough, but the Dragon might be - think Matt found it good. Here is another list, might try this one out next game I play:

New list time. Glass and Topaz replaced by Jet and 1 extra Gate.
The main thinking behind this is, having played the Blitzkrieg approach, there need to be some gates either with the a H/SH to otherwise no dropping until turn 3.
I liked the Jet in the escalation league, it never needs to go weapons free and gets the same ranged output as 2 topaz, plus bombardment/lethal close action. It's also a H which helps in claiming crtitical locations.
Any thoughts?

After my terrible defeat by Chris I've updated my list to include some active scanners, I also decided I need at least some strike carriers to capitalize on the gains made by corvettes. Unfortunately to fit all this in I've had to drop a troopship and the Taipei group but this has allowed me to split up the Moscow.
Will have to see how it plays tonight. I have a sneaking suspicion that I now have too many Limas!

Like the active scanners but don't think you need 4. I'd try with 2 or 3, plus i still think you should split the corvettes into 2 groups.

Luke, good game last night! I was relieved to come away with a draw tbh! Playing against Shaltari is always a scary prospect. Only thing I would say is you could have pushed your jet further forward to do more bombard, but tbh I think I made more mistakes than you and got v lucky that my Dragon survived as long as it did.

I like both your 1st and 3rd Lists, the 2nd list doesn't feel as focused.
