Weapon glow effects - help needed - Embolden - 02-10-2014

I'm looking for someone to take me by the hand and show me how to paint weapon glow effects... I'm looking for blue if possible..

can anyone help me or point me in the direction of a tutorial or something Undecided

Depends how far you wanna go with it mate. Without the use of an airbrush the easiest way of creating 'neon' blue is a base coat of the whole area you want glowing with lothern blue. Then multiple watered down layers of blue horror slowly building up to the area you want brightest!

Hey guys, thanks for the tips, I've had a play this morning:

In the end I started with a Hoeth Blue base, then mixed in Lothren Blue until it was basically Lothren colour and did 1 coat of that, then a dry brush of just Lothren, then added a little white to 3 dry brush layers (the last layer was basically white), I quite like the effect, plus its quite quick, ended up painting my Wraithknights weapons, I got excited so did the engine and 10 Fire Dragons in about 1.5hrs.

I'm quite happy with the effect as table top standard which is all I'm looking for at present.
