Cheers guys, really enjoy using the Airbrush! Just need to get some masking tape and putty as think this will be my preferred way of painting now.

It is a little bit inconsistent in places as i experimented a lot as i went, highlighting was achieved very easily just by spending the time highlighting the raised areas with white after it had been primed black and then giving it a couple of coats of the base colour. I painted under a day light desk lamp nut am curious to see what it looks like in the proper daylight and after a wash!

Well, went to do some more last night, masked up all the bits i wanted to do purple which took about 30 mins with tape and the missus came in wanting to go bed. At half 9. Lol.

So had to pull all the masking tape off as it needs to be removed within 24hrs and didn't want to risk damaging paint work.

Hoping i can get in from work tonight and hit on it straight away, really want to play a bit more and try finish him off before Tuesday with some OSL effects, though not sure what colour to do the boosters. Would a light blue blended to white like the others Ion cannon work with the model being Blue? :/

Also going to start assembling some of my deadzone stuff for use with other Sci-fi systems and base it. Planning a hobby heavy weekend, we will see how it pans out lol.

Edit - Oh and cheers for the heads up on the liquid masking stuff hoping that will be here tomorrow......

That sad moment when you have a R'varna on the way and FW do a major nerf on him. Gone from AP3 to 4, 4++ against shooting to normal tide shield gen, if you NOVA charge his gun you can't fire next turn and restricted him to two support choices (Stims and Homer). Sad times.

I agree after using him he's slightly OP for point cost but went a little overboard i think. Think for less points i could get a burst tide that will do the same job now, which is a shame as really like the model.

Base coated a Skyray, Buffmander, standard suit and Forge world commander last night. Liquid mask never turned up though so will have to wait till next week to do any purple and red detail.

Well seem to have the technique down for for large models, but not quite on mid size models (ie crisis suits). Will drop some pics later for feedback.

Edit - oh and have the Bryce and the 5 year old nephew helping me do some cardboard terrain, which both are enjoying. Start them young.... lol
