Heard about this on a Podcast and thought I would look into it. Audible is a subscription service from Amazon, in which you earn monthly credits, and can spend those to download an Audiobook. For £7.99 a month you earn one credit, and for £14.99 a month you earn two. There are also 12 month subs at £69.99 and £109.99 in which you get a bulk of 12 or 24 credits respectively. You then select a book, and spend your credit, giving you a download of your audiobook. Certain books will cost more than one credit, but looking into this, for example Lord of the Rings has been split into 6 separate purchases, so you could download one part of the trilogy to listen too each month.
Well here is the trick. There is a free 2 week trial, in which you can sign-up and automatically get one credit. This can then be spent straight away, to download a book. If you cancel before your two weeks expire, it has cost you nothing, but more importantly you get to keep the book.
