Hi everyone,
Some of you may have seen my former ideas for a 40K escalation league, and I've modified those plans into something much simpler and easier for me to run, as I think I was over-complicating the former plan!
Put simply, I want to hold a 700pt mini "flash" league, over three sessions, spaced over six weeks, beginning mid to late August. Participants will play two battles per gaming night, resulting in six matches overall, from which I will calculate a simple league table, and determine a winner. I'll find some kind of small trophy
Over the next two/ three gaming nights (4/8, 11/8, 18/8), I will bring down sign-up forms, league rules and FOC restrictions, and I'll spread the word. So as a marker, I'll aim to have the first league night on the 25th August.
Ask any questions that you have.

On that schedule, you would still be able to take part in the last two league nights, and though you might not win, it'll still be fun to take part in
I'd be up for this but have games planned for each of those nights, including a game against you Matt on the 18th haha.

The painting/ modelling muses were truly upon me last night, as I drunkenly set about constructing a trophy for the Flash League.
I don't remember going to bed, or finishing the trophy, but I woke up this morning with some of my fingers super-glued together, paint on my face... and this (attachment) sitting next to me on the bedside table!
I model best when I'm hammered.
So, to whet your appetite for the League (beginning 25th August), imagine yourself holding this trophy aloft, in front of your beautiful, screaming fans (pale nerd friends), having gone six games unbeaten to win the first ever 40K Flash League.
I will personally paint the name of the winner and his army on the trophy, so that your great victory might be remembered for all time (or until the club goes bust).

Actually Chris, I've also just realised that with the two week gap between league nights, you would still be able to complete the six games, if you used the 15th September as catch-up for two league games.
No flyers.

No flying vehicles. The single Flying Monstrous Creature may fly as normal.
