I'm after a rapid moving, alpha striking list preferably. I'd be open to suggestions, but i'm looking for it to fit the theme more than anything. So not looking at Devs, whirlwinds etc
I'm going for a defensive line list. With DC's to take on any assault duties.

········1. Fear of the Darkness: Description:Warp Charge 1 Fear of the Darkness is a malediction that targets a single enemy unit within 12". The target must immediately take a Morale check with a -2 Leadership modifier.
········2. Unleash Rage: Description:Warp Charge 1 Unleash Rage is a blessing that targets a single friendly unit within 18". Whilst the power is in effect, the target has the Rage special rule. If the target already has the Rage special rule, they instead have +1 Attack whilst this power is in effect.

This move cannot end on top of another unit or impassable terrain, but ignores intervening units, terrain, etc. Any model that starts or ends this move in difficult terrain must take a Dangerous Terrain test. The target unit cannot charge in the same turn that this power is used, and all models in the unit count as having moved in the Movement phase for the purposes of shooting weapons in the Shooting phase.

Graviton: The roll needed To Wound when firing a grav- weapon is always equal to the armour save of the target, to a minimum of 6+. For example, when resolving a hit against a Space Marine in power armour, you would need a 3+ To Wound. When resolving a hit against a vehicle, roll a D6 for each hit instead of rolling for armour penetration as normal. On a 1-5 nothing happens, but on a 6, the target suffers an Immobilised result and loses a single Hull Point. Grav-weapons have no effect on buildings.

What I'm looking at next with 1250 is probably a drop pod (on its own) and a squad of assault termies. termies+drop pod = turn 2 charge ftw! Big Grin

Personally, I'd not bother with the staff. Not much reward for the points (I know its only 10pts. But for that you could give your assault sarge a hand flamer for GEQ infantry pwning.)
