I just got one today too...

Magnification is +1.75 equivalent for reading specs as far as I understand it...

I used mine just to provide illumination for a painting session last night - it casts a very "clean" light that really picks out the colours on the subject under the brush.

That would be the Daylight.

As close as I can get to it at 1.00am in the morning anyway.

Trouble is now that I can see what I am doing it's going to take even longer to paint...
