So i have been assembling my undead stuff from mantic and i am looking at making a small 500 point army to learn the game and then a 1000 point army once i have got to grips with the mechanics.

i have the following to choose from-
1 Necromancer, 1 Skeleton Horde (40), 1 Revenant Regiment (20), 2 x Zombie Regiments (60), 1 Ghouls Regiment (20), 1 Revenant Knight Regiment (10), 1 Wraith Troop (5) 1 Balefire Catapult with crew, 1 Vampire.

I also have the Vampire counts book to work from, which i believe is the only relevant army book i can use?

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Ok Vince your looking at the following equivalents.

Vampire = Vampire
Necromancer = Necromancer

Skeletons Horde = Skeleton Warriors
Zombies = Braiiiiiiiins!!!
Ghouls = Crypt Ghouls

Reverent Guard = Crypt Guard
Reverent Knights = Black Knights

Knock together the Werewolves and you have a suitable choice for Crypt Horrors or Vargheists.
Thanks Gaz, that does help a

Any idea what is a solid core? Mix of zombies and skeltons or just one of them?

Ps am okay to get your mantic werewolves off you?
Don't buy both units, of Zombies. Maybe buy one, and magic in a second. Also 40 Zombies should be fine, but you will want them bigger buy the time you hit combat.

Same with the Skeletons, buy a decent block, but add too it. However your block will want to start off bigger than the equivalent block of Zombies, as getting extra Skeletons in is hard.

The Ghouls will do most of your killing from your core. Their attacks, and the addition of Poison really helps.

And yes you can have my Werewolves. We'll have to work out a value for things, once they hit the street.
Make the Necromance a master Necromancer
