There is a real chance the club will join the GCN at some point. Although there is no requirement to do so and many clubs don't bother at all. But overall it seems like a reasonable thing to do.

Joining the GCN will mean formalising some of the more ad hoc arrangements we have in place at present.

Some more information regarding the GCN can be found here

IMHO we will be working on joining once we have tied down the venue and club night, so within the next 4-6 weeks.

Did this ever happen??
No, it didnt.
I saw something about a committee being setup in another topic. How come?
At the time joining the GCN looked like a good idea. But then I couldnt get hold of anyone, no one returned any emails, facebook posts etc so I gave up. I know they've gone through a restructuring or something. I managed to get hold of the templates from the GCN web site, and have used those as the basis for formulating club rules, child protection policy etc. I know PrecinctOmega has something to do with it and I mentioned something at the Gloucester show, but as with all these things, its on the back of the back burner due to other commitments.

Cool no worries, well let me know if you need any help, I'm pretty good at admin type things like chasing people for info etc. Would any of these help? http://www.gaming-club-network.blogspot....ct-us.html
Hi Simon, I think I'm going to take another crack at this if theres any advice, contacts or info you can pass along to me?
Drop Robey a line - he's the area rep. for the GCN (I think).
Thanks to sterling work from JJ we'll be fully fledged members of the GCN and on their register at the end of this month.
Right on schedule, we're now officially in the GCN Cool
